Did you miss me?

Hey Fa!
I am finally back from my break of one year. (Yes, it already is one year ago I last posted something on this blog!)
To be honest, I enjoyed being away from this blog for a while, but eventually I started missing the writing down of my thoughts.
I know you all are extremely curious to know why on earth I deciced to quit writing and posting stuff, so I am going to fully explain that decision right here.
As you can remember (or cannot: go immediately check my last post on this page!), I went to Scotland for my Erasmus teaching practice.
At this moment this is exactly one year ago (well, one year ago I was there already for 1 month now) and I feel a bit itchy about it, to be honest.
I really really miss Glasgow and the people and nature. But especially the freedom I felt.
After this great adventure, I graduated in June as a teacher of English-Dutch in secondary education. Bam, first paper in the pocket!
Yes! You noticed that correctly: I said 'first' paper. So does that mean I am going for a second one? Correct again!
Yep, indeed, I am still studying (and I have my personal reasons for it, so no, I am not a freewheeler who hasn't have her life figured out yet).
After my graduation I took some me time to figure out what I want in life and what my future should look like.
Based on deep and intense talks with my family, friends and myself, I decided to go for my Master's degree in English.
It was a tough decision but everyday I am confronted with the fact that I made a good one.
Since my past course was on a university college and my Master's degree is on a university, I have to do a linking year.
A linking year is a year in which you catch up with all the academic courses you did not had the chance to do in your first studies.
In reality this means I need to do 3 years of Bachelor in 1 year. Yes, this is totally insane.
So yeah, the past couple of months have been hard with lots of ups and downs, emotionally and mentally.
But I LOVE doing it and I finally feel that I belong.
Doing a linking year also means not having lots of spare time left to do fun things. Most of my time is occupied by school and it sometimes sucks.
But I need to work hard to achieve my goal.
So, this also means: yes, my intension is to start writing again, BUT (big BUT!), I will not always find the time or energy, SO: bare with me!
Alright, I think you are now fully informed and 'catched' up a bit.
I hope you all are doing great in life!
I am looking forward informing you with some new insights and poetry!
Thanks for reading this and take care.
Lots of love,
Maple Juice
